Ozzy to star in game

A new company, IRock, will be developing a new video game starring legendary rock star Ozzy Osborne. The game will be released for the PS2 and PC platforms with an eventual release for the X-Box. Ozzy Osborne will write the soundtrack for this fantasy style game.

New G400 Drivers

Matrox released new G400 / G400 MAX beta drivers for Win 95/98, Win NT4, and Win 2000 today. If you are a proud owner of a Millennium G400, you may want to try these new drivers out.

Tomb Raider coming to Playstation 2

Core Software has announced that Lara Croft will return to the small screen at least two more times in the next two years. The most notable will be her inevitable debut on the Sony Playstation 2 console sometime in 2001. Later this year, she will star in another Tomb Raider for PC, Playstation and Dreamcast as well.

Microsoft Train Simulator

In Spring 2001, Microsoft will have a train simulator ready for us. This is the perfect chance for all of you who always dream about running your very own train. If they include terrorists that take over the train and you have to pull out your trusty 9mm to show them who runs the train, I just might have to do some simulating myself.

3dfx & Gigapixel merger complete

The 3dfx and Gigapixel merger is finally officially complete. Hopefully by this time next year, 3dfx will put out a high-end multichip card with tile-rendering. I'll have to prepare an AGP slot for that.

Alphanumeric has posted some rumored specs for the upcoming 3dfx Rampage Chipset due out this Christmas. This thing sounds like a monster - the high-end configuration supposedly may have 4 parallel processing video processors along with 4 T&L units! Holy cow!

ATI Radeon is now here

ATI just released their GeForce2 GTS and Voodoo5 5500 killer. The Radeon has the specs to be the performance leader. If the drivers are just as well, this new video card should be able to defeat the GTS in high resolution and color. The one thing the Voodoo5 still has over the ATI Radeon is higher quality FSAA. Other than that, this card has by far the largest feature set.
